Ovens are used quite frequently over the week, so they can get really dirty. However, nobody likes cleaning burnt food on the surface of the oven, splattered food on the sides or on the racks. Cleaning up a spill is almost impossible before it burns and becomes irremovable. What makes it even worse is the smoke from the spill that appears every time you use the oven. Anyway, we have been cleaning our oven wrong all the time!
From now on, cleaning the oven is a piece of cake! Knowing this trick will save you some time since there is no need to rub the oven for hours. Baking soda does all the work for you and the oven will be shiny as new. Moreover, all the needed ingredients are natural, so you will avoid the harsh chemicals from the store-bought products.
Ingredients you will need:
Combine a tablespoon of baking soda and water in the bowl. You should get a paste that can spread on the surface of the oven. Remove the oven racks and spread the paste everywhere on the inside of the oven. Let it sit throughout the night.
The next day, grab the wet rag and clean as much as you can of the mixture. Then, take the spray bottle and put vinegar in it. Spray the mixture on the surface where baking soda residue is still present.
Clean everything with the rag and put the racks back in the oven. Finally, turn on the oven on a low temperature and let it dry for 20 minutes.
Do this to clean the oven window:
Prepare another baking soda mixture and apply it on the window. Let it stay for half an hour. Wipe out with a clean rag at the end.
