Many of us are too busy or stretching a budget and we don’t get to the salon as often we would like. But once the roots start to show, we need to cover them. Below are some quick tips to disguise your roots until you see your colorist. You may just discover a fun new way of wearing your hair in the process!
1. Change your part
You will need a comb and a brush. This trick will help you disguise root growth for a few days by simply combing your hair in a different direction, or creating a zigzag part in place of your center part.
2. Dry Shampoo
This is great tip for blondes and great way to hide roots in between touch ups. You need to spray evenly throughout the hair and then use a large paddle brush to comb through. You may not have to comb you dry shampoo through if you have blonde hair, but if it is darker shade of blonde a comb through may be necessary because you might feel a little powdery up top.
3. Use a temporary cover-up
There are a number of coloring products (powders and creams) that offer a quick cover of your roots until your next touch-up. What is great is that powders also help hide thinning hair, while crayon-like applicators can make hair appear fuller and thicker.
In the video below you will see one more totally amazing trick and how it works in practice. I was astonished when I found out about this trick. It seems too good to be true.
