Keep Staring at the Central Dot… Until You See THIS!

If you remember the black-and-blue dress trick which circulated on the internet, it was explained that it is our bran that perceives colors in certain ways. Some have normal color perception, while others may have over-active color perception.

Even being color blind, has to do with the ability of the brain to perceive various wavelengths of light to visualize color.

In this brain trick, you will visualize a black and white photograph as colored. If you are not convinced yet, try the trick below!

Look at the picture closely! Do you see a black and white picture?

If the answer is YES, than you are right! But see what happens in the video below.

Stare right into that dot in the middle of the picture!

If you saw the picture suddenly changed to color, than your color perception is fine. On the other hand, if there was no change, you may have not focused on the central dot enough or you may have difficulty with color perception.

This is just a simple mechanism called Opponent-Process Theory, which was developed in the 1870s. It is the idea of perceiving color in terms of paired opposites such as red with green, and yellow with blue.

Did you see the colored picture? Share your results below and don’t forget to share to your friends and test this brain rick against them too.
