According to a research, two common kitchen spices relieve the muscle pain after working out.
This research at a university in Iran studied the effects of ginger and cinnamon on the muscle pain. In the study participated 60 women from 13-25 years. They were divided into 3 groups. Each group took three grams (1 teaspoon includes 4 grams) of powdered ginger, cinnamon or placebo each day for six weeks.
Women in both ginger and cinnamon groups had less pain in the muscles after exercising in contrast with the placebo group.
Another study from a university in Georgia also proved that ginger is able to relieve soreness in muscles after an exhausting exercise.
