Toothache is a painful experience nobody desires. Luckily, there are natural remedies that can help you get rid of the pain. For example, cloves are excellent for relieving pain because of the eugenol. It is a potent anesthetic and antiseptic that helps in blocking the pain and eliminating germs. People and dentists used it in the past to treat oral pain. When applied topically, the clove works effectively by numbing the area. This way, the nerve endings are temporarily deadened, so you lose sensation in the affected area.
This ingredient is popular today as well and dentists still use it in a purified form that separates it from the essential oil.
Ground or powdered, whole cloves, or clove oil are the three forms of clove you can use for numbing your aching nerve.
