Probably you have seen the photo of Santa Clause with a baby photo on his knee that goes viral. It is a photo of a child who couldn’t be there.
The sweet baby in the photo is Hayden, who was 6 months old when he died in December, 19th 2014 from a rare heart defect called hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Kyle Daniel, the baby’s father went into a mall in Georgia to take a photo of a moment with Santa, an experience his son never got when he was alive. He approached Santa saying he has a request and turning around his picture frame. He started his sentence by saying that his son passed away last year, but he couldn’t finish what he was saying.
Caleb Ryan Sigmon is the actor that was portrayed as Santa and this is what he wrote after this experience on his Facebook profile:
“Without anyone saying anything, he handed me the frame and I placed it on my knee. In the photo, I could see on the little boy’s armband that his first name was Hayden. I didn’t ask any questions, but I am guessing that this is his first photo with Santa. The camera snap was the only sound I could hear through the entire mall”.
After the father got his photo, he grabbed Caleb’s hand and hugged him, saying it would be his present for his wife and left everyone in tears.
Called also wrote that for some families Christmas is very difficult, adding we should all pray for the brokenhearted, smile, love and share kindness.
There is a Facebook page for little Hayden where the dad asked everyone to do something nice like Caleb did for them. He says only a smile and a hello to a random stranger is enough for the holiday.
